We have an opportunity for an experienced SAS Analyst to join the Finance Systems team here at Phoenix. The successful candidate would become involved in a wide array of business-focused projects, working in close partnership with other experts from around the company. Are you interested in applying your SAS expertise to solve complex business problems in a strongly-controlled environment?

If so, come join our SAS Team!

The role:

As a SAS Analyst, you’ll be responsible for developing and supporting SAS applications in line with internal standards and governance processes and industry regulations. When developing (whether you’re acting as a solo developer or leading a project team) you will interact closely with other development teams and business users and will be involved with every stage of the development lifecycle. When supporting day-to-day operations, you’ll continue to work closely with other teams and additionally analyse data to explain and validate changes. In either case, you will need to create and maintain clear documentation, appropriate for sharing within the team, with management or with auditors.

What we’re looking for:

As a certified (or equivalently experienced) advanced SAS developer, you’ll ideally have experience of life insurance data and a firm understanding of every stage of the development lifecycle. You will need to be a confident communicator with strong collaboration skills and the drive to lead small teams in a fluid environment. You will be a self-motivated team player with the drive to deliver and attention to quality.

About the company:

We value our employees highly and have been Britain's Top Employer for the last six consecutive years and are a member of the FTSE 250 index. We put people first in everything we do and are always looking for new professionals to join our talented team. Our funds are closed, enabling us to focus on areas that other businesses can't. This means that, among the many benefits of working at Phoenix (such as free lunches at our onsite restaurant, nature trail walk, putting green, free car parking, subsidised onsite sport facilities including gym, football & cricket pitches, tennis courts, excellent rewards schemes…we could go on!), our staff can enjoy exposure to a diverse workload not found elsewhere. We're proud of what we do, and we've recently gained recognition for our distinctive business model. We offer excellent training opportunities, career development and company culture.
