Warehouse Associate – Cutting

Location: Lichfield, EMEA (UK) Regional Distribution Centre

Interaction Recruitment are currently working with a leading distributor to recruit an experienced Warehouse Associate within the Cutting department to join their advancing team in the West Midlands.

As a Cutting Associate you will be responsible for completing picks, cuts and winding activities associated with customer orders. All members within the cutting team will rotate across different activities depending on business needs. A comprehensive training programme is in place for all new associates to ensure competence & safety when operating the cutting machinery.

Cutting Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all reels required for cutting activities are picked from the correct location & placed in the pre-cut holding areas.

  • Review & validate all reel information, including reel number, length & cut quantities

  • Complete warehouse paper to make sure that the company is updated

  • Ensure that the cutting environment is well stocked with empty reels and other associated consumables.

  • Review & validate all picked reels prior to performing cut(s)

  • Make sure that the materials are cut and wound appropriately

  • Complete reel card updates and ensure that the correct lengths are recorded

  • Maintain a high standard of H&S & quality at all times

  • General Warehouse Operational activities

  • Assisting colleagues in the wider operation where required.

  • Implementation of 5S standards; to maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Cutting Associate Experience & Qualification

Essential:

  • Educated to a good standard.

  • Demonstrated experience of working in a production or warehousing environment

  • Comfortable with extended period of manual labour and the operation of heavy duty machinery.

  • Experience of using IT equipment in a workplace environment.

  • Counterbalance & Reach FLT licenses with experience

  • Open to change and adaptable, with a capacity and willingness to learn.

  • Able to prioritise a varied daily workload.
