They are currently seeking to recruit a number of Build Technicians for a start date of the 9th October 2017. These roles are offered on a contract basis for 11 weeks until 22nd December 2017.

You will be working alongside a group of skilled Engineers & Technicians helping to develop and perfect the construction of prototype vehicles to facilitate both whole vehicle & component testing in line with design verification programme objectives. By using your mechanical and trim skills you will assist in early stage prototype process refinement in a state of the art facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience in whole vehicle assembly and build
  • Experience of undertaking Mechanical assembly and build tasks
  • Experience of fitting part/full interior Trim packages
  • Donor vehicle strip down and preparation
  • Support logging of build issues and engineering improvements
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience of using hand held and air powered tools
  • Experience of working with precision components

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Level 3 City and Guilds/NVQ qualifications in an automotive discipline is desirable
  • At least 3 years relevant experience required
  • Good engineering background essential
  • Experience of previous vehicle assembly/buildwork is essential
  • Ability to work as a team member and follow work instructions
  • Resourceful with a proven record of being able to solve problems
  • Ability to develop good technical solutions to build/ quality issues
  • Excellent organisational skills, proficient at managing and prioritising work schedule
  • Knowledge and practical understanding of H&S, C.O.S.H and environmental procedures
  • Flexible attitude towards working hours as overtime may be required
  • Flexible attitude towards location

WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week

Days

Monday to Thursday 7.15am-3.45pm, Friday 7.15am-12.15pm
