Mental Health Practitioner
Salary: £30,000 - 35,000 pro rata
Permanent: Full Time, 40 hours per week. Term Time 38 weeks per year.
Location: Harlebury, Worcestershire

The post will require someone with previous experience of working in CAMHS settings, specifically within Looked After Children’s services.

Cambian New Elizabethan School
Cambian New Elizabethan School is a day school that offers outstanding opportunities for boys and girls with a diagnosis of communication difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, complex needs and challenging behaviour.
You will be providing a therapeutic service to children and young people placed within the New Elizabethan School by assessing and identifying their needs and meeting them through consultation and training to Residential and Educational staff, direct therapeutic work, care planning and management in conjunction with the Multi-disciplinary team.
Dependant on your experience you may be required to supervise other Mental Health Practitioners, Clinical Psychology Trainees, Healthcare Students and Assistants.
The core of your role you will be providing specialist assessments of children and young people within the Education setting. So, subsequently you will formulate and implement plans of therapeutic intervention / management of children and young people’s presentation based on psychological understanding the difficulties within current evidence-based practice, in conjunction with the wider MDT at the setting.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking Mental Health Practitioner to join our friendly team.
- Mental Health Nurse background
- CAMHS experience
- Registered with relevant professional organisation (HCPC etc)
- Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills.
- Have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Previous experience in working with children & adolescents is advantageous.
