ISS Technical Services are currently recruiting for a Fire Extinguisher Engineer to cover the Worcestershire and Midlands area. The successful engineer will be required to carry out Fire Extinguisher servicing, PAT Testing and associated compliance maintenance tasks to commercial properties.
Overview of Responsibilities:-
To undertake fire extinguisher PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
To provide callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota.
Responsibility for other compliance related duties following training that could include PAT testing or water hygiene related duties.
To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
To ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria. To ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
To provide a professional service and represent the company in a way which ensures customer satisfaction. To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents / records are maintained accurately.
Training to be given to ensure all engineers are multi skilled within the compliance environment.
Applications are invited from experienced Fire Extinguisher technicians or engineers or PAT testers who would be prepared to multi skill in fire extinguisher maintenance.
Requirements for the role is as follows:
Must have theory and practice of servicing portable fire extinguishers. FETA/BAFE certificate along with excellent knowledge of associated equipment and Risk Assessments.
Significant PAT Testing experience and City & Guilds 2377-22 / 2377-32 PAT Testing qualification.
