You will be working for a global manufacturing organisation in the automotive industry.
Your new role
Your main responsibilities will be around coordinating the technical activities with direct material suppliers for projects under development. You will solve technical doubts to potential suppliers during the sourcing phase, whilst providing technical advice during the Pre-Decision meetings. You will attend meetings with suppliers, confirm parts feasibility and coordinate with the Project team any potential request of deviation from any supplier. You will negotiate the modifications cost, and lead time with suppliers, whilst communicating the needs of material for prototype builds, internal trials, pre-serial builds and track the suppliers parts production and shipment.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a technical understanding of plastic injection and other plastic manufacturing processes, and will have strong supplier management skills. It is preferable that you have automotive industry expertise and have a an HND or are Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline. You will be hard working, self-motivated with excellent organisation skills. You will have strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
