Phoenix is a multi-cultural 11-19 secondary school, serving 1750 students in the north of West Bromwich close to the border with Walsall in the West Midlands. Opened in September 2010, as a result of the merger of two local schools, Phoenix has quickly established itself as one of the highest performing schools in the area.
An Ofsted visit in March 2015 recognised Phoenix as a 'Good' school, with a 'no limits' culture, driven by the uncompromising belief that all students will be successful as they move onto the next stage of their lives. As a school constantly focussed on improvement, we are now seeking a colleague to join our team who has the drive, skills and attributes to ensure we become outstanding within the next two years.
Due to expansion as pupil numbers grow, we are seeking to appoint a highly talented and innovative, qualified teacher of Science to join our friendly and supportive Science department. You will have a confident understanding of the curriculum and the ability to inspire excellent learning. This position will suit a NQT or an experienced teacher looking for a new opportunity. We are particularly interested in candidates with a Chemistry or Physics specialism.
In September we moved into our brand new, purpose built school. The students and staff at Phoenix face an exciting future. If you would like to be part of a school that is committed to becoming the very best, and if you can inspire and motivate our students, you could be the person for this role.
