Senior Civil Engineer
Our client is a well-respected international environmental and engineering consultancy with expertise in mining, renewable energy, minerals, waste resource management, utilities, infrastructure and planning.
Due to continued and sustained growth our client is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to join its civil and structures team in Stoke on Trent.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on an exceptionally varied workload from single unit housing to large residential developments, which includes flats, schools / educational establishments, new-build and refurbishment, along with structural inspections and report preparation.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working as part of a team on the analysis and design work for a variety of construction-based projectsA predominantly office based position with occasional site supervision duties requiredWorking primarily on highway and drainage design, with the ability to work / support on different roles within the team as / when required
- Managing the delivery of individual tasks or activities to programme and budget
The Person·A First degree and / or MSc in a related discipline·Chartered or near chartered status
- Good working knowledge of Micro DrainageSome experience within the following sub-disciplines: flood risk assessments (including MIKEFLOOD software packages), sustainable urban drainage systems and surface water management schemes.
- The ability to perform effectively within multi-disciplinary teams The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
