Job Title: Bid Writer

Location: Solihull

Contract: Full Time, Perm

About the role

Are you experienced in Bid writing? Can you work to tight deadlines? An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for GP Strategies, one of the country’s leading global provider of customised improvement programmes. The role is to support the EMEA Business Development function in responding to bids and tenders for existing or prospective clients. You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that bids are completed and submitted within the required timescales.

What will you be doing?

  • Work within the EMEA business development department to create and deliver winning proposals in line with company strategy and objectives.

  • Develop and maintain senior relationships with a wide network of SMES across the business to support the completion of client documents and escalation when needed.

  • Use available processes and technology to make bid team collaboration easy and efficient.

  • Champion best practice within the sales cycle, including maintaining the EMEA BD pipeline to ensure adherence to qualification and approval to bid process.

  • Arrange, prepare for and chair project kick off/update meetings with senior member of the business.

  • Drive quality in all responses through review cycles, proofreading and continuous feedback to contributors.

  • Supervise the management and update of standard bids, presentations and research content and promote the adoption of self-service content systems with business stakeholders.

Do you have?

  • Must have bid writing experience.

  • Must demonstrate evidence of working on large scale bids, proactively driving the pursuit process and developing strategic proposals.

  • Must have experience in client delivery project management

  • Must be a flexible and proactive individual able to work to deadlines and varying workloads.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, excellent PowerPoint and presentation abilities; strong IT skills

  • Proven experience in building and managing key relationships and partnerships.

  • Ability to write in an engaging manner to suit a variety of audiences.

  • Well rounded business experience resulting in business and financial acumen

  • Ability to communicate in a business setting

  • Have strong analytical and synthesis skills
