Remuneration: Circa £45,000 pro-rata


Blue Dot Search & Selection is proud to partner with this leading provider of value-added supply chain and logistics services in seeking to recruit a talented Interim HR Manager. The purpose of this high profile and customer facing role is to lead all site HR initiatives and people related activities at my client's flagship distribution centre in the Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire area.

This is a large, complex and fast-paced retail distribution operation and as such demands not only first-class technical and operational knowledge and experience but also extremely well-developed people management skills, particularly within the fields of staff engagement and the cultivation of a well-defined, positive, open and inclusive work culture.


Reporting into the Regional HR Business Partner and leading the site HR Team, this challenging and yet highly rewarding position holds responsibility for ensuring the delivery of an exceptional and value adding HR function.

Supporting both the Warehousing and Transport functions on this unionised site the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and implementing the people plan and HR strategy covering such areas as Employee & Industrial Relations, Learning & Development, Talent Management & Succession Planning, Organisational Design and the management of change.


Demonstrable senior HR Management experience gained from within a similar, large, fast-paced and highly pressurised third party logistics environment.Experience of working with local union and workforce representatives to develop an ongoing, positive, proactive and constructive relationship, implementing an employee relations climate of excellence.Having previously been responsible for the creation, leadership and development of a high performing HR team the successful individual will hold the ability to support the operation via the engagement, development and motivation of colleagues at all levels.Extremely strong interpersonal skills coupled with an ability to establish effective communication channels and working relationships with employees, customer contacts, external consultants and suppliers are essential as is experience of influencing stakeholders and negotiating change within a heavily unionised environment.CIPD qualified with strong organisational skills coupled with the ability to analyse complex situations often involving conflicting priorities and then provide workable and compliant HR solutions.Further Details:
