Due to an internal service redesign, we are now looking to recruit a Project Manager to work in the Adult Social Care team in the heart of the city centre on a temporary basis for a minimum of 13 weeks. Your new role
We are looking to recruit Project Managers from all disciplines to work at Birmingham City Council on a temporary basis. You will be working on a variety of projects across the council within the Adult Social Care team. You will be responsible for creating the relevant project plans and monitoring the various stages and ensuring that they are signed off within budget. In addition, you will be reporting back on the progress of the projects being undertaken and closure whilst continuing to update Lessons Learnt. You will be working as part of a supportive team, ensuring best practice is carried out on high impact projects within approved budgets. There will be no budget handling or approval required for this position.
What you'll need to succeed
PRINCE2 certification is essential for this role. You will have worked on high value projects previously and have a proven track record and aptitude to work with service development and operation support functions. You will also have the ability to create clear and concise reports that are completed to tight deadlines. You will also be able to undertake change activities in line with the needs of the business. We are not looking for a candidate with a specialist area of Project Management, but a candidate who can work to the PRINCE2 methodology, has strong communication skills at all levels and can be adaptable dependent on the stakeholders they are engaging with.
