The Company
A tier one supplier of flight critical parts to the Aerospace industry, operating on an international level, supplying into Airbus, Boeing, Rolls Royce, BAE etc
Our client now seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their technical team.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally possess a background within Aerospace, Precision Engineering Manufacturing or Automotive.

Responsibilities

·Manage customer complaint and returns

·Manage the company non-conformance databases

·Lead problem solving activities utilizing industry standard methodologies: 8D’s, 5 why’s, 3C, DMAIC, Ishikawa fish bone diagrams, FMEA’s

·Conduct internal audits and support with customer, ISO and NADCAP audits

·Develop procedures in line with customer, ISO and NADCAP expectations

·Partake in Material Review Board activities and assist in the resolution of product conformity issues

Successful candidates will require expertise within confidentially handling customer complaint or technical requests.

Skills qualifications required

·Degree or equivalent (HNC/HND) in Aerospace, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or other related field

·A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an Engineering or Quality Engineering role.

·Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally at all levels within the organisation. Fluency in written and spoken English

·Demonstrate experience of completing problem solving activities using methods such as 3C, 8D, DMAIC etc

    Organised, practical, logical in work approach Positive can-do attitudeExcellent project management skillsStrong engineering backgroundExcellent drawing interpretation skills (GD&T)Working knowledge of ISO9001

A senior candidate would require

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an Engineering or Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment

· Quality auditing certification

· Working knowledge of lean principles

· In depth knowledge and application of /AS9100 standards

· NADCAP experience

· Casting or similar process experience

· Six Sigma trained (green or black belt)
