Full Time
From coffee machines to cranes, you’ll prevent accidents and save lives.

At British Engineering Services, there’s no limit to what you can achieve. And whether you and your team are helping leading sports clubs test their entire suite of on site lifts, elevators and escalators or assessing the condition of all kinds of plant, equipment and installations across the UK, you’ll achieve it with the support of one of the most dynamic, forward-thinking, and career-focused engineering companies on the planet.

It’s all about helping us build a stronger, safe future by making the most of your engineering knowledge and expertise, developing strong relationships with clients, and taking responsibility for making big decisions on the condition and safety of plant and equipment when it really matters.

As an Engineer Surveyor in the machinery discipline, you’ll be responsible for planning, completing and reporting on the highest quality inspections across a wide variety of customers and industries. From lifts to cranes to forklift trucks – you name it and we probably inspect it. So you’re unlikely to have two days the same. Acting as a primary source of technical knowledge and expertise for engineering in your specific discipline, you’ll provide a high level of expert technical consultancy, networking with internal and external contacts and representing the company at external meetings

You’ll already have a Level 4 engineering qualification and a good level of practical experience, and while the type of projects you’ll work on will ultimately depend on your location, we’ll make sure you’re fully trained. You’re flexible enough to work from home, you’re a great communicator, you’ve got a full driving license, and you’re looking for your next big challenge. Please note, if you do not currently hold a Level 4 engineering qualification, but you do hold a level 3 engineering qualification and you are willing to complete your level 4 via the Licentiateship program, then we would be open to discussing your application further.

In return, you’ll discover a brand new company with an unrivalled heritage. An exciting business with huge vision and energy. And a fully UK owned organisation that puts best practice first, whether it’s our upcoming zero overdue inspection policy for our equipment, or our commitment to rewarding you for 100% of your time, including travelling to client sites.

Add pension contributions up to 10%, a company car ownership scheme, best in class training and you’ve just found a career that will stand up to any test.

There are multiple positions available in the Birmingham area, candidates will ideally be located within the 'B' postcode.
