We have a brilliant opportunity for a Housing Management Worker to join our team. The vacancy has arisen as the colleague is leaving to study for a degree and the skills and knowledge learnt has enabled this colleague to progress into higher education.
You will work across two supported accommodation projects providing housing management support to customers with learning disabilities, mental health, substance and alcohol misuse and an offending history.
The Housing Management Team work closely with the Support Team and together we help our customers to become independent ready to live within our community.

We help our customers in a variety of ways from managing their finances to understanding how to be a good neighbour. Every day is different and at times challenging; one day you could be helping a customer to budget to pay their rent and the next day be preparing a void flat ready to let.
You will work a rota to meet the needs of our customers and this includes day, evening, weekend and bank holidays.

A bit about you

You will be motivated to empower our customers to manage their accommodation. You will have an eye for detail when calculating rent payments to ensure the projects are H&S compliant. You will be able to work to deadlines, manage your own time, have strong communication skills and good IT skills. Ideally, you will have a knowledge of this sector but if you don’t then we will develop and support you to gain this knowledge.

If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.
