General Manager - Budget Hotel Venue


Up to £30,000 per annum

The role:
We are recruiting an exciting for a popular budget hotel / venue in the Birmingham area and we are looking for a unique candidate to take on this GM role.

This role is an opportunity for an innovative person who would like the chance to manage their own business, without the risk! You will take on all aspects of managing a very popular venue in the Birmingham area. This is a budget venue, and offers accommodation in the city centre and attracts a wide range of clientele who come to the city to see the sights and best places to visit.

This is a fantastic role for someone who really enjoys speaking to guests and offering a great customer service, as well as a real love for managing, training and inspiring a team.

The candidate will be expected to maximise hotel revenue and guest satisfaction through implementing effective sales strategies, effective management, employee assessment and continuous training in line with service standards and venue guidelines.

The role:
*To lead, manage, inspire and develop a great team
*Manage all aspects of the venue, rooms, housekeeping and reception
*Ensure high standards throughout the venue and ensure the team deliver these
*Be innovative and make decisions for the businesses best interest
*Create promotions and offers that will impress guests and exceed expectations
*Implement sales and marketing strategies to drive the business forwards
*Drive the Social media for the venue
*Responsible for all financials and cost controls

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualities;

*Experience in managing hotels or similar venues offering accommodation
*Rates, revenue, housekeeping and reception background
*Fantastic people skills - enjoys talking to and offering a great and friendly service to guests
*Team skills - a brilliant motivator of people and the ability to train and inspire your team
*High standards of service and attention to detail
*A strong knowledge of the city of Birmingham
*Strong financials and cost controls
*Organised with experience of managing orders and stock
*Sales and marketing skills, social media knowledge and a drive for sales

This is a fantastic role and has great opportunity for someone to out their stamp on this venue and role.

Hours - generally day times, 5 over 7 days

Salary: Up to £30,000
