They have a diverse product range including classic, traditional and contemporary furniture, and they now have a vacancy for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.
The main objective of this Warehouse Supervisor role is to assist in the management and control of the movement of finished goods and furniture across all manufacturing sites and you will play a key role in ensuring all daily operations are met, whilst supporting all team members to promote a productive warehouse environment. The main responsibilities are the organisation and recording of finished goods; managing transport efficiently; monitoring standards of storage packaging and implement improvements where relevant. You will ensure the warehouse is fully organised, running smoothly and all resources are being utilised efficiently (people/transport/handling). You will also provide HR support to the Spray & Assembly Manager and complete regular workplace H&S audits/inspection sheets as and when required.
This Warehouse Supervisor role requires the supervision of a number of skilled production workers, therefore to be shortlisted for this role you must have at least 2 years? experience in a similar role in a warehouse environment with knowledge of all aspects of manufacturing processes & products plus great people skills with the ability to influence and motivate. To be successful in the role you?ll need to be highly organised, proficient in Microsoft Office, and have the ability to use your initiative to ensure the department meets production deadlines. It?s essential you are a team player, calm under pressure in a challenging & pressured environment with excellent communication & time management skills and you must hold a counter balance forklift licence and a full, clean driving licence.
