We are currently looking for a Motorsport Design Engineer to work for a Major Automotive Organisation based in Warwickshire Reference No: J0011271 Job Title: Motorsport Design Engineer Experience: Proven history of delivering competitive race car components and systems. F1, WEC, WTC, WRC, LMP, FE or similar Location: Warwickshire Rate: From £23.00 to £25.04 per Hour Ltd Co. Hours: 40 Hours Per Week The Role: *Motorsport Design Engineer *In order to further promote the Brand, SVO are creating a track version of a road based production vehicle. *This vehicle will compete in a FIA approved championship in locations around the globe. *We are looking for an individual join the team and be responsible for engineering a delivering a wide range of specialised components suitable for this environment. *Responsible component design, analysis, CAD and delivery *Responsible for component targets and design validation *Responsible for ensuring components meet with governing body regulations *Responsible for supplier management and delivery *Work with the Design team to ensure alignment of engineering targets and appearance *Interface to the wider SVO engineering team to aid future model development *Management of budgets and delivery timeline Skills Required: 3 KEY SKILLS REQUIRED - Proven history of delivering competitive race car components and systems. F1, WEC, WTC, WRC, LMP, FE or similar - Catia V5 CAD skills to an advanced level - High drive, self-motivated, able to work under pressure to tight deadlines Experience Required: *Proven history of successful race component design in key relevant areas *Experience of motorsport safety requirements *Experience of motorsport vehicle architecture and layouts *Experience of motorsport environment sign off requirements *Catia V5 capability *Knowledge of FE tools and techniques Experience Preferred: *Relevant engineering degree *Experience of working with an Automotive OEM *Knowledge of FIA regulations *Experience of HV systems *Ability to negotiate for the best customer outcome *Ability to understand and manage complex technical issues Additional Information: *40 Hours per week with 3:30pm finish on Fridays *Recruitment Consultant Grant Baker *Tel: *********** Our clients are unable to provide sponsorship for Tier 2 visas; therefore, only candidates eligible to work in the UK need apply!
