National Account Managers (Healthcare, Pharmacy, Skin, Beauty, Mother & Bab, Health Food - Consumer Goods OTC Retail)
**Various levels of expereince considered and location flexible as home and field based
Start date: October, November onwards depending on notice period.
SALARY: A genuine competitive market rate basic salary (apologies but disclosed on application as client's policy) plus bonus and full package including company car or car allowance, pension, 25 days holiday etc.
Location - Client flexible and although centrally based in the country preferable, but not essential as long as the person has good motorway links, occasional trip as well to Yorkshire EMEA HQ.
Working as client's sole agency for many years, a reputable and established global retailer and distributor in over 80 countries of OTC Consumer Packaged Goods across multiple categories within health & beauty, health food, Baby Retail, Pharmacy for major retailers and with offices in US, Europe, South America and Asia and a subsidiary of major corporation.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills.
Depending on level, ideally circa. 3-5 years upwards related experiece.
Strong commercial awareness - previous exposure to a retail commercial environment ideally in consumer packaged goods.
Understanding of sales and marketing processes and exposure to trade marketing is essential.
Experience in managing and implementing budgets and forecasts.
A confident, determined approach and ability to be proactive and assertive.
A high degree of self-motivation and drive to achieve results.
Resilient and energetic character.
A good problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude, enthusiasm and lots of flexibility.
The ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
Effective at managing time and priorities and can handle tight deadlines.
Strong numeric skills are a must as well as structured thinking and an analytical mind.
Able to demonstrate Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills and must be able to create and handle complex interlinked spread sheets and presentations.
Awareness and understanding of UK health & beauty, health food, baby and pharmacy market sectors.
Communicate effectively at all levels in a professional manner.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE
Manage and Develop business on a National and Regional basis.
The actual account base is likely to include selected National Grocers, Baby Retail, Pharmacy Wholesale and Retail and Health food.
Maintain and develop relationships with existing and potential customers.
Professionally promote the product range and image of the company to the customer base.
Negotiate trade terms and promotional activity.
Monitor and update sales information, prepare reports, presentations, regular analysis and recommendations.
Gather market, customer information and identify potential new business opportunities.
Provide customers with a high quality service in line with their needs.
Competitor intelligence - monitor competitor performance and market trends; draw up competitor overviews and prepare proactive recommendations.
Effectively liaise with colleagues in finance, sales, marketing, operations.
Perform other sales support projects and tasks as per business requirements.
