Our client currently have an exciting opportunity to join their Account Management team in their Ryton-on-Dunsmore, WARWICKSHIRE location. This role is a permanent contract for a Desk Based Account Manager.

Working within the existing Account Management team you will be required to manage a large customer base comprised of small to medium clients with frequency on contact ranging from monthly to quarterly subject to spend threshold. Day to day duties will include general account management, issue resolution plus identifying opportunities to up-sell additional products into your customer base as appropriate.

In addition, the CRM system needs to be actively maintained to ensure it contains "quality" and up to date information regarding calls and conversions that the Desk Based Account Manager conducts.

The client you would be working for are one of the largest postal providers in the UK with an exciting range of Packet, Mail, Parcels and Hybrid Mail products and services, both in the UK and internationally. Each year they collect, sort, send and transport up to 3 billion items of Downstream Access traffic for businesses, as well as handling millions of Parcel deliveries

Ideally the client is looking for applicants with some form of Transport related backround i.e Courier, Parcel Distribution, Mail, Pallets, Freight Forwarding or Logistics
Main Responsibilities
Maintenance and growth of allocated Customer Base:

? Proactively and reactively manage customer queries as / when they arise
? Maintain the existing value of your allocated customer base, protecting it from attrition where reasonably possible
? Welcoming new customers into your allocated customer base as new accounts are won by the sales team
? Identifying opportunities to grow your customer base where possible by introducing new products
? Obtaining monthly / quarterly forecasts from your customer base with particular focus during "peak" traffic periods e.g. Christmas
? Proactively feedback to clients on operational issues relating to their traffic
? Network with internal departments and functions, developing internal relationships to support the client experience
? Provide sickness / holiday support to the Sales Support Administrator when required
? Actively seek ways of improving the client experience, sharing valuable feedback with both Line Management and Divisional Management
? Achieve daily activity targets relating to the Account Management role
? Represent the company in a professional and business-like manner at all times

Planning, Reporting and Management:
? Ensure the daily/weekly/monthly reporting is completed
? To liaise with the companies sales teams when required
? To complete any reporting or review documentation
? To identify and record any key market, customer or competitor activity or intelligence
? To attend regular debriefings

Essential Key Skills:
? Self-starter with excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
? Able to work with minimal supervision after agreeing objectives
? Excellent communication skills covering presenting and listening
? Consistent positive outlook and able to handle rejections
? Good organisation skills
? Quick learner who can apply concepts in the real world
? Understands a customer perspective
? Numerate and literate
? Experience in Microsoft standard packages
? Working knowledge of CRM systems
? Team player, adaptable and flexible

Experience in a sales or account management service environment is an advantage, especially in postal, package or direct marketing services. Competency on the telephone and a good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel are vital, as is a methodical approach to keeping electronic records

Five or more GCSE/O-Level would be expected. Good oral and written English is required and good level of mathematical ability
