CNC Engineer/Programmer - Birmingham - Permanent - C£40,000pa
A CNC Engineer/Programmer who is proficient with offline programming in a manufacturing/engineering environment is required for a Birmingham based manufacturing organisation who are providers of multi-axis precision engineering solutions to the Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Defence and Nuclear industries.
As the CNC Engineer/Programmer you shall be responsible for programming a variety of machines up to 5 Axis. There will also be a focus placed upon supporting the shop floor whereby you shall provide solutions and guidance to ensure maximum output. You must be self-motivated, driven and able to manage your own workload to meet demanding deadlines.
***Note*** the role is c£20.00p/h based on a day shift 07.30 - 16.45 Monday to Thursday and 7.30 - 13.00 on a Friday. Overtime is paid at time and a third for the first 6 hours and time and half thereon.
For the role of CNC Engineer/Programmer you must have the following:
- Experience programming offline with a preference to EdgeCAM but others are also welcome
- Programmed 3,4 and 5 Axis machines
- Ideally experienced with both milling and turning applications
- A problem solver with the ability to think on their feet
- Also set and operate Mazak mill/turn machines
***Note*** we shall consider other mill/turn machine experience and programming software capabilities.
