A locum is required to oversee the processes to ensure that the Medical Centre provides primary healthcare services that meet both statutory and military requirements. To ensure the training needs of medical centre personnel are being continuously reviewed. To provide Human Resource management including appraisal and performance management. To ensure that DPHC healthcare policy is maintained (and reviewed where appropriate)
To facilitate effective liaison with local NHS/secondary/Tertiary care - establish and maintain relationships. To liaise with Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) Regional offices and HQ DPHC. To encourage and promote continuous improvement. To ensure infection prevention and control training and practice compliant with JSP 950 Leaflet 7-2-1.
Essential requirements / Qualifications / Experience
- Must have AMSPAR/Healthcare Manager NVQ Level 5/other relevant healthcare management qualification.
- Must have experience working as a Practice or Deputy Practice Manager gained within the last 2 years.
- Must have experience of leading a medical centre/practice team (up to 50 personnel).
