SEND Teacher - October Start

Are you a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher who can support the Lead SENDCO and contribute to raising standards of pupil attainment within a large 3 form entry primary school.

**MPS/UPS Payscale**

The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting all designated classes.

Role Purpose:
**To implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum for SEND pupils.
** To monitor and support the overall progress and development for pupils as a Teacher.
**To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides SEND pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
**To share and support the school's responsibility to provide and monitor opportunities for academic growth.

The Role - SEND Teacher - Birmingham

**To undertake a designated programme of teaching across all key stages
**Teach consistently high quality lessons as highlighted in the new Teaching Standards
**Act as a role model through an open door policy in lessons and modelling best practice
** To maintain appropriate records and to provide relevant accurate and up-to-date information for SIMs, registers To complete the relevant documentation to assist in the tracking of students in lessons taught
**Prioritise and manage time effectively, undertaking continued professional development in line with the role
** To follow the school policies and procedures To maintain discipline in accordance with the school procedures, and to encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework
**Update professional knowledge and expertise as appropriate to keep up to date with developments in teaching practice and methodology in general, and in the curriculum areas taught in. **Ensuring a high quality learning environment within the curriculum areas taught in
**Plan and deliver schemes of work and lessons that meet the requirements of classes taught
**Be a role model for SEND students, inspiring them to be actively interested in subjects taught
**To maintain appropriate records and to provide relevant, accurate and up-to-date information for SIMs registers
**To ensure the effective/efficient deployment of classroom support in the classroom Follow schemes of work for subjects taught at all
** Key Stages Promote aspects of Personal Development relevant to SEND students Promote student learning through involvement in out of hours activities
**Ensuring a high quality learning environment within the SEND area
