Monarch Education is working closely with a primary school based in the Central Birmingham area who are seeking a primary qualified teacher to teach within Year 1.

This role is to start in September 2017 until the end of the academic year. This role is full time.

You will be responsible for the full class teacher role including assisting in the development of planning and assessment. You will be confident in leading and supporting the work of the Teaching Assistants in your class and maintain and develop the high standards across the school. It is essential that you have previous experience of teaching Phonics and are confident with Phonics Screening. The school use Letters and Sounds Phonics scheme.

You must take an active role in influencing and developing policies and practice in relation to class teaching to raise attainment across your class. The successful teacher must be able to encourage a positive and consistent environment in the classroom to ensure all children enjoy their learning.

It is essential that you have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and previous experience of teaching in Key Stage 1. The successful teacher must have the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons to their class and be flexible and adaptable in the approach to work with a positive outlook on Education.
