Tradewind Recruitment are working with a small Alternative Provision in Birmingham.

This school caters for children aged 11-16 years who have been expelled from mainstream education. The role will be around 10 hours a week with a flexible timetable to deliver Maths & ICT, with functional skills and low levels GCSE.

We are looking to appoint highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher with a real passion for teaching children with challenging behaviour and complex needs.

The role has a possibility of being long term for the right Teacher. This role is open to NQTs who have done placements in SEND schools and have experience of working with challenging students. For this role, teaching classes working towards GCSE and functional skills is essential.

Team teach and Manual Handling would be an advantage, although training can be provided.

The successful teacher will:
*Hold QTS (or equivalent qualifications to teach)
*The opportunity to have over 20 FREE CPD courses available on a weekly/monthly basis
*Enjoy the challenge of working with young people within a SEN environment
*Work well within a team and be supportive to colleagues
*Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to get a new one through Tradewind at a cost of £52.50 (You will get this back after 20 days of working with us)
* Assign you to a dedicated SEND Consultant
*Refer a friend scheme for Teacher's and support staff.
