Strategic Data Analyst, Data Scientist - Big Data (Making the unpredictable predictable)

We are a diverse business, but at our core is the world of operations, serving both the B2C and B2B markets.

With 3500 operational colleagues to support we are looking to create an analytical centre of excellence; a team that will challenge, push the boundaries and one that will "make the unpredictable, predictable"!

Working in our Strategic Analytics Team you will work with highly capable colleagues, who are focused on ensuring we continue to forecast correctly and plan for all possible scenarios.

The analytics team have a huge role to play within RAC and so while the role will provide you fantastic career opportunities, it will provide you large visibility across the business as a whole.

What do we need:

Our team is growing and as a result we are keen to hear from individuals with proven commercial analytical expertise (we are considering all levels of experience); however you must possess:

  • Solid experience working in a commercial environment, working with large data sets
  • The ability to manipulate & interpret large amounts of data in order to facilitate different levels of analysis - we are not looking for Reporting Analysts we want people who can really get into the detail and provide really insightful recommendations not just churn out reports
  • Proven track record of statistical & analytical techniques to drive business change
  • Experience of business modelling within multi-channel environments working as a strategic Data Scientist / Data Analyst
  • Technical expertise in one or more of: Python, "R", Tableau, SQL or Alteryx
  • A burning desire to make a difference, push the limits and show your creativity
  • Good communication skills
  • Fast-paced way or working, comfortable with change but on top of that a good sense of humour
