Local care force are currently recruiting for Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) to work nights on various secure wards ranging from low, medium & high. We currently supply to various forensic/ secure and rehabilitation settings throughout Bury. You will be required to work within mixed gender units.

Main role responsibilities of the RMN Registered Nurse:
  • Formulate Care Plans & Risk Assessments
  • Understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983
  • Have a good understanding of the Deprivation of Liberties (Dols)
  • Promote safety by undertaking risk observation levels
  • Administer medications orally, topically and by injections
  • Communicate with the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure mental wellbeing
  • Coordinate person centred care involving the patient and relatives
  • Promote education so as to increase patient understanding
  • Allocate staff duties and prioritise workloads
  • Maintain comprehensive records for shift handovers
  • Understand and implement the Mental Capacity Act and best interest's decisions
  • Uphold the NMC code of practice at all times
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • To have full MVA/MAPPA training. (Not essential as training will be given)

Requirements
  • To have a valid NMC registered pin
  • Must be professional, ambitious, friendly and caring
  • To have at least 6 months UK nursing experience
