Senior Marketing Assistant



A well established Shrewsbury based client is looking to recruit a Senior Marketing Assistant to join its rapidly expanding team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role has the responsibility to be the go to person for the management of campaigns and communications through all online and off-line channels and supporting the organisation with business development projects.

Experience required

  • Experience working in the creation of outbound and inbound communication plans to drive new customer acquisition and customer growth
  • Experience in managing a wide range of communication mediums including WordPress websites, Social Channels, e-mail and direct mail using the appropriate technical tools
  • Ability to conduct keyword analysis and execute clear SEO strategies to increase traffic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised and able to plan able to plan a large and diverse range of work
  • Ability to deliver and create high quality presentations
  • Able to work in a team culture as well as independently
  • Experience of word, excel, visio, publisher, powerpoint
  • Understanding of marketing activities within a b2b environment
  • Good understanding of communications planning process for lead generation and internal communications with a strong track record in lead generation
  • Experience in working with a wide range of channels and mediums including social media, SEO and website
  • Previous experience within a similar role with a busy marketing environment within a SME organisation
  • Experience in working with outside agencies and ability to manage both the creation and execution process to agreed timescales and budgets
  • Degree / professional qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience supporting direct sales teams is desirable
  • Full driving License

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure a proactive approach to lead generation , manage the creation , execution and review of campaign and event activity to engage both new and existing customers and ensure that both inbound and outbound techniques are effectively used.
  • Facilitate regular sessions with sales teams
  • Responsibility to manage the company website to ensure that it is kept up to date, in line with strategic message and fully optimised to maximise traffic and conversion.
  • Proactive management of all digital channels including social media
  • Work closely with product management
  • Conduct competitor analysis
  • Curate all marketing content and ensure it meets high standards and company brand guidelines
  • Manage and report on KPI information to demonstrate marketing ROI
