Hours: 37.5 hour per week

We're hiring for a fantastic opportunity within our Commercial team and a key part of that team is our Buying Assistant.

This is a six-month fixed term opportunity which is part of a key project, so if you want to join the team please get in touch!

What you'll do

This role is about effective communication and stock management, whether you are liaising across our various internal teams through to dealing with external supplier orders and enquiries, your focus will be on delivery. As one of the Buying Assistants within our Buying team, you'll place and chase orders, work to key service level targets through to working closely with the Purchasing Managing to identify new areas and services that drive profit.

You'll need an eye for detail and have an intermediary level of skill in Microsoft Excel as you'll deliver and maintain various spreadsheets to ensure pricing is optimised. You will be responsible for managing stock levels and order placing, liaising with the logistics and finance to resolve supplier non-conformance, challenging non-deliveries and shortages and resolve pricing queries. Monitoring leakage and providing the team with analytical and administrative support where needed with be key to the role. You don't need to come from a Pharmacy background, desirable if you have Buying Administration experience, but, you will have a good grounding in delivering an excellent customer experience through the roles you have done previously.
