Main duties and responsibilities
Deployment and installation of the open source learning management application to our own and client servers.
Review and adapt current upgrade and version control processes for standard and bespoke implementations to improve efficiency, automation and profitability whilst enhancing the client experience.
Liaise effectively with prospective clients to advice on solutions as part of the sales process including contributing to the writing of proposals.
Gain a rapid expert understanding of the open source technologies we use and be prepared to engage with the relevant online communities to build and share expertise.
Maintain and support internal and customer facing Linux servers.
To assist “Level 1” Support Technicians with complex server related issues.
To work closely with Technicians and Clients to rectify specific hardware, software and network issues.
To assist the Infrastructure Manager with the operational running of the Network and Services.
To monitor performance and usage of the Network, Internal and Customer services.
