A job opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy Finance team within a growing Manufacturing business in Redditch on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the main responsibilities of the role will include the running of Sales and Purchase ledger, bank transactional postings and reconciliations, Credit Control, and provide general accounts support.

Job Description:

- Your responsibilities will include;
- Purchase ledger control - coding, matching invoices and credits with Delivery notes and posting on the system
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Sales Ledger - issue customer invoices, credits notes and account statements
- Credit Control - produce weekly aged debtors reports, daily cash allocations, and chasing debtors
- Analyse and post expense claim forms, credit card receipts
- Intrastat and EC Sales list
- Assisting with annual audits
- General administrative duties as and when required
- Bank account reconciliations

To be considered for this Accounts Assistant role you will need to have;

- Solid all round accounts experience to trial balance
- Accounting qualifications are less important than the ability to do the job, but AAT Level 2 or 3 would be an advantage
- Good knowledge of SAGE Line 50
- Competent in Microsoft Office software
- Strong Ms Excel skills i.e. VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot table and if statements
- Good understanding of accounting principles and double entry book keeping
- Ability to deliver both independently and as part of the team
- Good IT skills - ability to pick up new systems quickly and efficiently
- Ability to work to tight deadlines

GBP17,000 - GBP19,000 depending on experience
