My client is currently recruiting for a Volunteer Co-ordinator to join their established location in Burton on Trent.

To be the initial point of contact for volunteers. This will involve Recruiting, training and managing volunteers to support the delivery of all services & projects, including front of house and general reception, housing, furniture, food bank and fundraising.

Duties

1. To recruit and manage a team of volunteers who can perform 'one off' or time limited activities

2. To work with staff leading projects to recruit and place longer term volunteers

3. To organise and deliver volunteer recruitment, training & induction sessions and ensure DBS checks are completed where appropriate

4. To provide 1:1 support sessions for volunteers where appropriate and organise peer support events

5. To ensure volunteers receive recognition for giving their time

6. To ensure the Volunteer Policy & Procedures are up to date

7. To evaluate the effectiveness of the volunteer programme and prepare feedback and monitoring reports as required

8. To be responsible for your own health and safety and for those around you

9. To comply with all Burton policies and procedures and be fully committed to safeguarding and equality when carrying out duties

10. To contribute to the overarching aims

The working hours are 40 hours per week over 5 days, paying a salary of GBP19,000 pa.
