Systems Support Administrator

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support and training (group & one-to-one) for client-based applications and services
  • Provide server, client, telecomms & network technical support for the European I.S. function
  • Maintain and administer telecoms & networks
  • Maintain and administer server & client hardware and systems
  • Carry out housekeeping tasks for servers, clients & networks (e.g. diagnose faults, replace major components, cable terminations)
  • Ensure security and integrity of server and client systems
  • Monitor adherence to relevant company policies
  • Maintain records of company computer hardware, software & networks & ensure licence compliance
  • Perform, record & store adequate and regular copies of electronic data and systems
  • Carry out telephone system housekeeping
  • Maintain, administer and support PBX systems
  • Communicate effectively in all directions, written and verbally
  • Maintain and improve quality standards on an on-going basis
  • Collaborate with Dawn people at other locations for specific projects and adherence to corporate standards
  • Perform any other duties which may be reasonably requested

  • VM Ware 6.0
  • Sequel Cluster Server
  • Windows 2012
  • Extensive Server configuration experience
  • HP Blade installation
  • Strong Clustering
  • Software Documentation
  • Role will be include server administration, backup system checks and recovering data when required and application support (applications such as label printing solutions, terminal servers, time & attendance etc) and troubleshooting issues the 1st line helpdesk has escalated to resolve.
  • Need to be flexible to also pickup pc support issues when required by the helpdesk.
