We are currently looking to expand the engineering capability and bring in a Quality Manager.

Main focus of the role

Key to the role of Quality Manager will be your ability to lead and develop a team, support New Product Introductions, driving continuous improvement and performance, promoting a Quality culture and Quality Excellence in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the Quality Manager will include:
• Line Management of the Supplier Quality Team, Customer Care Engineer and Lead Auditor Team Members covering all aspects of Supplier Quality, Customer Warranty and ISO9001
• Performance Management of their team members in pursuing continuous improvement in Systems, Processes and Customer Satisfaction
• Rapid and robust investigation, containment and resolution of Customer and Supplier related defects
• Leading Problem Solving Activities utilising Cross Functional Team Approach across departments
• Ensure accurate Supplier Reject Records and drive supplier improvements and escalations
• Management of 3RD Party Divert Provider ensuring problem containment
• Support and ensure adherence to New Product Introduction Programmes
• Team Development teams incl. Current, New & Young Talent for succession planning
• Deputise for the Quality Manager

Required Experience & qualifications

The ideal candidate for the role of Quality Manager will be qualified to HNC or Degree level in engineering or manufacturing discipline. You will have demonstrable experience of in working in a Manufacturing or Assembly environment, preferably in a Quality or Continuous Improvement role. Applicants must be prepared to work towards CQI Level 5 Diploma.
The Quality Engineer will be an accomplished and proven problem solver with knowledge of Quality Tools, and experienced in managing and delivering results through people. You will be a self-motivator and a confident decision maker maintaining Customer Focus at all times. You will be able to generate and manipulate data and determine actions to drive business improvement
