Midlands - covering Stoke, Nottingham and Rugby

I have 4 opportunities for Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation Engineers based in the Midlands for one of the leading Energy companies in the UK to provide maintenance support for Steam Boilers, CHP Generators and Power Plants with Hospitals, Schools and other Commercial/Industrial areas.


* Actively support in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM)
* Carry out repair and maintenance works according to PPM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required
* Check equipment and indicators to detect evidence of operating problems and support maximum availability of all plant
* Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to the Fleet Engineer / Fleet Manager
* Involvement in root cause analysis of faults
* Liaise closely with the Fleet Engineers to support the continuous improvement of site operating procedures
* Liaison with the client's Remote Control Centre as and where required
* Working with and assisting both specialist and general sub-contractors / service partners
* Involvement in site emergency response procedures and business continuity and provides diagnosis and repair where required and as required including evenings and weekends
* Ensuring compliance with site HSSE (Health Safety Security Environment) requirements under the Safety Rules
* Carry out repairs, overhauls, reactive maintenance and minor installation works on associated plant having due regard to safety and customer care in the specific environment
* Complete and maintain accurate documentation from operational procedures, associated site works, and reports diligently to the responsible Fleet Engineer/ Manager in order to maintain and manage


* Relevant qualification in an engineering discipline with electrical, mechanical or instrumentation bias.
* Strong knowledge of boiler heating systems, including steam raising plant
* Experience of gas turbines and reciprocating engines a distinct advantage
* Gas Safe Registration beneficial
* Health & safety qualification e.g. IOSH / NEBOSH desirable
