Due to continued development our client are looking to recruit an experienced Airfreight Sales Quotation Coordinator to compliment their existing team. You will be responsible for all Air pricing requests to grow and develop Airfreight business within their Stoke on Trent office.

Duties & responsibilities

Assist the department & Manager to deliver services efficiently and effectively.

Prepare quotations for all types of customer requirements, both import and export - in an accurate and timely manner

Negotiate rates with airlines, and able to make bookings, Back to Back, consol, and direct Masters

Maximise profitability on shipment by obtaining best possible prices, while maintaining service requirements.

Identify trends / develop products / Seize opportunities to grow market share

Tracking down sales leads and good inside sales skills

Work closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations.

Organised to offer superb customer satisfaction and problem solving

Set up and deal with any special arrangements for delicate cargoes.

Liaise effectively with overseas agents, taking into account different time-zones and cultures.

Develop and maintain good supplier relationships ensuring our service is second to none, and our rates are as competitive as can be.

Maintain knowledge of legislation, political situations and other factors affecting the movement of freight.

Attend regular reviews of performance and annual appraisal meeting with manager.

Knowledge of specialist air cargo equipment and requirements (ie perishable cargo / exhibition cargo / time critical)

A minimum of 2 years' experience within the airfreight industry is required.

IATA Dangerous Goods qualification desired

Level D / Air cargo security qualified desired
