The Role

You will be responsible for design and technical drawings using AutoCAD. Experience in the use of AutoCAD/Revit and familiarity with BIM would be advantageous. You will also assist in helping the technical team carry out their architectural and general design duties. You will be working in a factory environment and it is important that you can listen to feedback, understand the reasoning and adapt
as appropriate.

Preparation of design and technical drawings using AutoCAD
To assist other design/technical team members in carrying out their architectural and design duties.
Preparation of additional drawings/visual materials as required.
To undertake research/training to acquire the necessary skills to carry out the architectural and general design duties.
Shadow Architect on site surveys.
Produce presentational planning drawings including bringing together all drawings/documents for submission.
Produce ADB and working drawing packages.
Involvement with design and construction issues.
Manage projects, obtaining and evaluating tenders and contracts.

Competent in 3D Revit with a desire to work through medium of BIM.
An interest in developing and detailing (precisely) off site.
Ideally someone with knowledge of the Building Regulations.
Be good at freehand drawing.
The ability to design - whilst thinking of the solutions beforehand.
Be able to visualise objects in three dimensions (3D).
Have good computer skills.
Have mathematical skills for making technical and financial calculations.
Have organisation and management skills for leading projects.
Have a good eye for details and design.
Have scientific ability to understand building technology.
Have a logical and practical approach.
Be able to solve problems.
