Opportunity:

Celesio UK is looking for a new Lead Infrastructure Specialist to play a key role in the design and delivery of innovative developments to the company’s IT infrastructure estate.

As the Lead Infrastructure Specialist, you will join a team of talented IT specialists to develop and support the infrastructure technologies that underpin a wide variety of business applications and operations. Technologies include servers, routers, switches, mobile devices, telephony.

You’ll work closely with our enterprise architecture team and the individual business areas to turn enterprise-level concepts into more detailed, component-level designs. There will be a focus on developing innovative ideas with the latest technology offerings while supporting some of our more legacy systems, and providing mentoring and guidance to more junior members of the team.

To succeed in this role, you will need broad technical knowledge across a variety of infrastructure technologies, with the ability to interact with the business on a commercial level, focussing on benefits-led proposals and designs.

Person:

The ideal applicant have a proven track record of supporting large, complex infrastructure estates and developing solutions-focussed designs from high-level conceptual ideas.Detailed working knowledge of the Windows stack – eg. Active directory, SQL, ExchangeCertification in 2 or more of the following areas:o MCSE / MCSAo ITIL v.3 Foundationo CCNAo VmWare CertificationsStrong communication skills, with the confidence and ability to liaise with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties.Exposure to a large, matrix-structured organisations is desirable.*Infrequent travel may be required within the UK to our retail sites and/or distribution hubs.
