A well-established global leading specialist in aluminium diecasting manufacturing are looking to recruit for a Tool Room Engineer to support their in-house tool room function. You will be responsible for planned and preventative electrical maintenance. Hours - Double Days Suitable for: Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Multi Skilled Engineer The Role To provide a repair and maintenance service, including preventative maintenance routines where applicable. Covering the full range of press tools and casting dies & general machining on conventional machines on site to an acceptable level. Responsibilities will include: - Maintaining tooling to ensure first offs are produced to standard - Feeding back into designs to update and improve technical drawings and documentation. - Consult on producing new tools, types of repairs and maintenance to pre-determined standard times and estimates. - Strip, clean and replace worn parts of tools. - Manufacture of spare parts to ensure stock levels are maintained. - Provide tool maintenance service. - Competent operations of Lathes, Millers, Grinders, Presses. - Work within tolerances described on individual drawings. - Care of and accurate use of measuring equipment. - Competent with all tool room duties. - Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the Company's H&S Policy. - Undergo training in line with personal development and company objectives. - Be additional support to maintenance team to ensure plant reliability and efficiency. The successful candidate for the Tool Room Engineers position will have the following: 3 - 5 years' experience working within a tool room - ESSENTIAL City and Guilds qualification or apprentice trained - ESSENTIAL Working with Die castings machines - Desirable Manufacturing Workforce are responsible for placing skilled and in demand people on both a permanent and contract basis into the Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing sectors, from skilled Shop Floor Personnel and Specialist Engineers to Supervisory and Management positions.
