Hours of work: Mon-Thurs 8pm-6am Nights shifts includes a allowance which calculates to a extra 1.90 p/h Day to day duties will include the following: To operate various machines in Machining Cell (CNC turning) _ Operation of CNC turning centres(Fanuc or Mazatrol). _ Set up to 1st condition and changeovers _ Run machines as per instructions _ Loading and unloading of CNC machine tool _ Quality control, measurement of parts. _ Modification of tool offsets. _ Tool changing. Fixture changing. _ Modification of tool offsets _ Basic understanding of CNC machining work and tool offsets _ Experience of programming desirable Accountabilities Safety - Compliance to policy (PPE etc) - Risk Assessments - Safe systems of work - Housekeeping 5S Quality - Ensure the quality of parts - Understanding of ISO 9001 and quality principles - Produce jigs and fixtures that improve productivity Delivery Cost - Knowledge of using 3 and 5 Axis machines - Understanding of component drawings - To share expertise and knowledge throughout the machining division - Improve cutting times - Minimise scrap - Reduce tooling costs - Promote process improvements People - Responsive and agile - Creative and innovative - Communication, Involvement & Engagement - Team communications Business - Active involvement and responsive to change Human Resources Department Job Description - Role model for the company's Vision, Mission and Values - Ambassador for Mettis Aerospace Performance Measures KPI's / PI's in line with accountabilities as agreed at PDR.
