For this Maths Teaching Assistant you must be a confident and energetic Maths (or maths based) graduate who has earned at least a second class degree and ideally school-based experience from a previous role. You will have the drive to keep your students motivated using your creative manner and positive approach to learning. You will have the skills to create professional yet personal relationships with students that will help you to understand their strengths and weaknesses.

This Maths Teaching Assistant role involves you supporting Mathematics students who are preparing to take their GCSEs. Part of your role will include supporting SEN pupils through the academic, social and personal elements of school life. A large part of your timetable will be leading small groups of Year 11, GCSE pupils in booster classes to give them extra confidence with the curriculum. You will have the responsibility of treating this teaching assistant role as your chance to start an exciting career in education.
