A special school based in Bromsgrove region are looking for a passionate, qualified teacher (PE Specialist) with previous experience of teaching children with EBD/ SEBD/ BESD/ EBSD, (Emotional, Behavioural Social difficulties),
Your new role
This job is a full-time role, teaching a class of 11 students in Key Stage 3 or Key stage 4 with SEMH (EBSD). You will be delivering a PE mixed curriculum. In this job you will be required to plan lessons, differentiate work to suit the pupils various academic abilities. You will also be required to mark work and you will have assessment responsibilities. This job is covering sickness (a staff having a operation) so will initially be for 4 weeks, starting mid September, with the potential of extending.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a holder of qualified teacher status with at least 40 days teaching experience within the last 2 years that can be referenced. You will be a PE specialist/ have taught PE and have previous experience of working with ASD, EBSD, MLD pupils. You should be a confident engaging teacher with effective behaviour management strategies and be patient and resilient in your approach. You need to be able to demonstrate previous experience of working with pupils with a lower emotional intelligence. Knowledge in crisis prevention / restraint will be advantageous.
