Delegated Service Operations Manager
A London based insurance business has selected Birmingham as its home for its new global support centre and they seek an Operations Manager to lead this new office.
Shortly moving in to brand new landmark offices in Birmingham City Centre you will manage the delivery of a broad range of UK and Global operational services with up to 80 FTE.
You will be responsible for managing a department of back office administration based Underwriters and Claims Administrators. They are accountable for the end to end internal broking function ensuring that all claims and premium bordereaux have been set up accurately for processing.
It will be in your remit to manage, review and report on the internal broking control environment. You will liaise with all relevant business areas to ensure that the agreed controls are robust whilst embedding new controls where applicable and review all controls on a quarterly basis.
Working with the Underwriters and Claims Managers you will develop best practice within company procedures.
You will be responsible for operating, monitoring and reporting the status of controls and for liaising with Risk Management in reporting and escalating significant control failings /weaknesses or events that may arise. Whilst doing this you will ensure efficient processes are maintained, making improvements where required.
Key areas of focus within the role will be process improvement and change management, therefore you must be able to display experience of managing these areas.
