This Chemistry Teaching Assistant position involves supporting teaching and learning throughout the science department. The role will ideally suit a Chemistry graduate who wishes to gain classroom experience before training to be a teacher. The role will include managing smaller intervention groups and individual 1:1 sessions as well as general classroom support. The most talented supporting staff are likely to be offered a place on this school's extremely supportive School Direct training scheme, where you can train to be a Chemistry Teacher.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic Science graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree and experience working with secondary aged children. You will possess a motivational approach to learning and an excellent knowledge of your subject.
