SF Group are currently recruiting with a well established law firm in Birmingham City Centre. This exciting permanent vacancy is a 'Legal Services Assistant', and is paying between £18,000- £25,000 dependent on experience. It is essential that you have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role for your application to be successful.

Some of the core day to day responsibilities will include;

  • Proactively dealing with client and third party telephone calls, answering queries where able and acting on initiative to provide exceptional client service
  • Providing support with case research and post completion work
  • Online applications
  • Undertaking searches and completion of Stamp Duty Land Tax
  • Production of collation packs
  • Production of court bundles, ensuring the bundle structure, format and content meets with the requirements of the court rules, including printing/copying of master bundles
  • Obtaining information and documentation from clients and third parties as appropriate
  • Management of key dates and delivery milestones, ensuring notifications are actioned by lawyers
  • Ensuring client data is maintained within case management and practice systems,
  • Ensuring compliance with firm wide/department policies and procedures
  • Attending internal/external meetings where appropriate and taking accurate minutes
  • Reviewing correspondence and documentation produced by shared services/speech recognition to ensure the content is accurate and formatted correctly
  • Time recording for tasks undertaken as appropriate
  • File opening - ensuring engagement letters are sent, matters are set up on the relevant document/case management system
  • File closure administration- dealing with account balances and ensuring compliance
  • Day to day supervision of Administration Assistant

It is essential you have previous experience in the following areas;

  • A minimum of 2 years Legal experience within a similar role
  • Experience of document management/case management systems
  • Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
