My Client, An internally recongised Manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their Shropshire based team.

The role will sit within operational finance and will report to the global finance director. You will be responsible for management of a team of 2 employees who will directly report into you but you will not have any budgetary responsibility.

The duties of the job:

• Improving the accuracy and understanding of the European and Operations financial plan and performance by analysing and communicating pertinent financial information.

• Key driver of cost reduction by providing financial leadership in cost reduction projects and activities - identifying opportunities, providing data, coordinating and measuring progress against budgets and projects

• Maintain an S&OP Driven financial plan and develop and deliver accompanying financial metrics, providing analysis of any variances.

• Supporting the financial reporting and tracking process.

• Maintain an effective Sales and Margin planning system based on detailed output from S&OP.

• Lead the integration of new planning and analysis activities with Group Finance

• Provide both high level and detailed variance analysis on all aspects of the P&L and balance sheet for actual results and forecast planning

• Provide daily / weekly / monthly data and schedules to support the visual management process and ABCD improvement reporting

• Develop and maintain a process to measure cost and profitability by value stream - product / function / manufacturing process

• Continue to develop, drive, facilitate and measure cost reduction initiatives aligned with the cost reduction principles

• Plan resource cost and measure productivity (linked to interval management and S&OP)

• Continue to develop and maintain a formal departmental budgeting process, including regular reviews and providing analysis to budget holders to enable them to manage spend

• Work with Inventory leaders to plan and forecast inventory levels and drive initiative based inventory reductions.

• Balance sheet planning (cash, payables, receivables, etc.)

• Support the strategic decision making process by providing financial input and analysis relating to Capital spend and other key Operational decisions.

• Talent management (plan, measure, review |training |succession).
