We currently have an opportunity for a Test Operative to work in our clients Shrewsbury facility on an ongoing temporary basis. With structured evaluations and excellent conditions, our roles also offer opportunities for personal development and recognition in your role.

4 day working week Monday - Thursday. Rate of pay will start on 9.51 for the first 12 weeks then increases to GBP11.46 per hour. Overtime Rates cover time and a half in the week and Saturday and double time on the Sunday.

As a Test operative you will be required to:

* To rig engines into test pallet and then into a cell
* Ensure all fluids are correct
* Visually check the engine for leaks and all parts are fitted prior to starting
* Test engine using a computer
* Fault find and corrective measures
* Make necessary adjustments and fit new parts
* Produce electronic test reports
* Pass or fail engines
* Basic maintenance of tools & equipment
* Use of overhead cranes and manual lifting equipment
* Use of PC for booking in and out of test area
* Knowledge of automotive test sequence programs and ability to re-write automatic test sequences
* Knowledge of fuel mapping software
* Working both in a team and individually at times
* Ability to read standard ops and work manuals
* Adhere to PPE & H&S requirements

Suitable applicants will have:

* Manufacturing, production or Assembly experience
* An understanding of working to safe practices, adhering to health and safety requirements

* Good team work and communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* PC/ IT skills, training to be provided on in-house software

Hours of Work:

The hours of work are Monday - Thursday, 7.30am - 5.15pm, overtime may be available, if so is paid at premium rates.
