Proven track record of delivering pragmatic Procurement support within a customer led business environment.
A good technical knowledge of ICT hardware, software and telecoms in a business environment, including typical contractual terms used within this environment.
Understanding of the different types of risk and solutions to manage these risks throughout the lifecycle of the contract.
Appreciation of the factors which impact profitability of a contract.
A track record in savings delivery within a Procurement organisation.
Proven ability to understand and flow-down head contract risk to the supply chain.
Ability to develop different types of commercial solutions in different circumstances.
A proven track record of negotiating contracts with third party organisations.
A genuine appreciation and understanding of procurement process, practices and the value that Procurement can bring.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management approach and skills.
Excellent negotiation skills and techniques.
Responsible for the management of sourcing activities to agree appropriate, cost effective contracts with suppliers within the ICT hardware, software and telecoms sectors.
Your role will consist of sourcing, negotiation, drafting and contracting with the supply chain.
Working in a cross functional team, your role will consist of sourcing, negotiation, drafting and contracting with the supply chain.
Sourcing strategies to be linked to current category strategies to deliver best value and manage risk from head contract through the supply chain.
The development of sourcing strategies within the ICT Hardware, software and telecoms sectors.
Effectively and efficiently managing the sourcing process.
Assessment, quantification and management of risks in head contract terms by negotiating appropriate supplier flow-down contracts.
Drafting and negotiating pragmatic and appropriate contractual agreements with suppliers.
Regular reporting on progress.
Coordinating and managing inputs from other departments to ensure that the contract put in place accurately covers the required scope of work for each supplier.
Negotiating value for money for telent from each supplier.
