You must be an eager and resilient Science graduate who has a second class degree at the very least and can enthuse others with your natural passion for education. You will have a natural ease with stressful situations and a fervent interest in a career in teaching. Due to the excellent provision in place for pupils with learning difficulties - pupils are regularly referred and parents push to get their children in to this school.

In this Science Teaching Assistant position you will be supporting teaching and learning across the school paying a particular focus to supporting pupils with learning difficulties within Science. As the school year passes you will provide key assistance to Year 10 pupils helping them with their course work and Year 11 students in the run up to their GCSE's helping push those borderline students in to the A*-C bracket. You will be developing the linguistic abilities of pupils who speak 'English as an Additional Language' through personalised literacy plans and running small, intervention, groups and leading 1:1 sessions and communicating frequently with the Head of Science.
