At Hamilton House we provide dedicated specialist support for people with mental health problems, alongside autism and learning disabilities. We are passionate about, and committed to empowering individuals to become more independent in everyday life.
Hamilton House is a large, friendly and welcoming home where we recognise the importance of choice and help people to improve communication and daily living skills focusing on building positive outcomes for everyone.
The people we support at Hamilton House have a Person Centred Plan which shapes the level of assistance provided; these are created on an individual basis with input from the individual, their family and their key worker.
As a Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support. What we'd like from you:
