HR Administrator We are recruiting for a HR Administrator on behalf of our clients based in Birmingham. This is a temporary role. Duties and Responsibilities of a HR Administrator - Periodically, when absence or workload requires, covering for other members of administrative team as required by the line manager. - On-boarding of new starters, including welcome correspondence, requesting National Insurance forms for new staff from outside the UK, and inducting new starters - Liaising with the recruitment team with regard to status of new starters with Certificates of sponsorship - Providing advice to individual staff and managers in relation to all aspects of terms and conditions of service - Managing the process and paperwork for probationary reviews, and for end of fixed-term contracts, monitoring these through to resolution - Producing correspondence regarding all changes to contracts, ensuring appropriate documentation is available to support the change - Processing of all paperwork/forms associated with the employment of non-contracted staff (i.e. casual workers) including, immigration checking, creating records in Core, and liaison with payroll - To check and follow up on all staff and casual workers with limited leave to remain - Creating and maintaining confidential personal files for employees - Liaising with payroll and pensions regarding new starters, all contract changes, sickness absence and annual increments. - Processing any ad hoc payroll returns e.g. overtime/shift work - Maintaining and updating employee records in Core, taking responsibility for data quality - Liaising with all members of Human Resources as necessary and relevant to ensure effective communication across the department - Working with the members of the senior management team, the HR Business Partners and other administrators in the department to engage in continuous improvement of process and procedures to ensure continued efficient and effective service delivery - Working closely HR Business Partners to keep them up to date and to share knowledge and information - Undertaking other duties as may be required by the line manager that might reasonably be expected to fall within the purpose of the role and the grade Details of a HR Administrator - Location: Birmingham - Hours: 09:00am - 17:00pm - Temporary - (6-8 weeks) - Pay - £22,000 Per Annum Skills and Experience of a HR Administrator - Significant experience of providing administrative support for HR administrative tasks and processes - An awareness of the general principles of employment law - Experience of working in a service-oriented, busy customer-facing department - Proven experience within Human Resources - Experience of using a specialist HR database - Excellent IT skills, including advanced use of Word, Excel and Outlook - Good attention to detail & accuracy - Experience of HR Administration within a HE environment is desirable - Experience of using COREHR system is desirable Benefits of working as a HR Administrator - 28 days holidays - Working for a reputable company - Good company Pension - Company car park If you are interested in this position please click Apply
